Herbert David Bendell, 82, of Bloomfield, died April 17. He was the widower of Ann (Gard) Bendell. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Simon and Belle (Weinstein) Bendell. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his children, Michael Benell and his wife Theresa of Simsbury, Randi Derench of Florida, and Steven Bendell of Georgia; and his grandchildren, Brandon Derench of Fort Myers, Fla., Tyler Derench of Burbank, Calif., Sarah Bendell of Avon, and Ross Bendell of Torrington. He was also predeceased by his sister, Alberta (Bendell) Beadle.
