A work of art in West Hartford

On Sunday, May 7, Friendship Circle of Greater of Hartford – a group that brings together children, teens and young adults with and without special needs for Judaic and social programs – celebrated another year of exciting programs and activities with a party held at The Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford.

The celebration featured an art show created by Friendship Circle members, a caricaturist and group mural using spray graffiti art. The highlight of the event was an emotional video montage in which Friendship Circle participants shared memorable moments and talked about how the group has impacted their lives. The afternoon concluded with a dynamic drum circle – giving a shout-out to all the participants, as well as introducing next year’s teen leadership board president Amber Raisner, a student at West Hartford’s Hall High School.

CAP: (l to r) Max Berman and Max & Eli Kopelman did a great job as emcees at the Friendship Circle party.
