Robert B. Cohen, 84, of Bloomfield, formerly of West Hartford, died June 5. He was the husband of Mary Lou (Whitty) Cohen. Born in Scranton, Penn., and raised in Margate, N.J., he was the son of the late George and Ray Cohen. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Melissa A. Cohen of Rhinebeck, N.Y., Gail A. Cohen of Sebastopol, Calif., and Lawrence G. Cohen and his wife Amy of Weston, from his first marriage to Joan Simon Cohen; and his son-in-law Aaron Stessman of Petaluma, Calif.; his grandchildren, Madeline and Emma Stessman, Caleb and Luc Stone, and Henry and Abby Cohen; and his step-children, Beth Whitty and her husband Scott Szymanski, Sue Whitty and her husband Andrew Zehner, and Rob Whitty and his wife Kim. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jan S. (Cohen) Stessman, from his first wife.
