Dr. Stanley R. Lavietes, 92, of New Haven, died June 1. He was the widower of Joyce (Drabkin) Lavietes. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lena (Leshine) Lavietes. He served in the U.S. Army in 1952 as a medic during the Korean War. He is survived by his children, Steven Lavietes and his wife Diane of Stamford, and William Lavietes and his wife Laurie of Parkton, Md.; his grandchildren, Rebecca Lavietes, Ben Lavietes, Adam Frank, Jenna Frank, Neil Lavietes, Chip Lancer and Ben Lancer; his sister-in-law Ann Drabkin; and several nieces and their families. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Helen Krosnick, Evelyn Mark, and Morton Lavietes.
