Herrick “Ricky” Simon, 53, of East Haven, died June 3. He was the husband of Valerie (Dusa) Simon. Born in Queens, N.Y., he was a son of Marilynn (Bodner) Simon of Stratford and the late Eugene “Gene” Simon. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sister Meredith Meyer and her husband David of Milford; his in-laws Joseph and Angelina Dusa; his sisters-in-law, Deborah Mahon and her husband Darryl, Michael Dusa and Angelina (Bana) Dusa; and his nephews, Nicholas and Evan Meyer, and Shane, Jesse and Cody Mahon.
