Ethel Sondik died August 21. She was nearly 100 years old. She was the widow of Leon Sondik. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gussie (Katz) Zinman. She was a member of Beth El Temple. She is survived by her children, Barbara Perlmutter and husband Louis of New York, N.Y., Cindy Aron and her husband Mark of Chevy Chase, Md., Rick Sondik and his wife Joanne Greene of New York, N.Y.; her sister Beverly Smigel; her brothers, Leonard Zinman and Murray Zinman; her sister-in-law, Selma Sondik Squires; her grandchildren, Kermit Perlmutter and his wife Janet Ozzard, Eric Perlmutter and his wife Linda, Samantha Aron Foti and her husband John, Lily Sondik, Leo Sondik and Lola Sondik; and her great-grandchildren, J.J. Foti, Jacob Foti, Ella Perlmutter, Rae Perlmutter and Alexa Perlmutter.
