Beatrice “Bea” Savelewitz Gimbel, 91, of Boca Raton, Fla., died Dec. 14. She was the widow of Henry M. Gimbel. Born in Derby and raised in Ansonia, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Gussie (Simon) Savelewitz. She was a lifelong active member of Congregation B’nai Jacob. She is survived by her son Michael Gimbel and his wife Rebecca of Plantation, Fla.; her grandchildren David, Heather, Zachary, Daniel and Harrison Gimbel; and her son-in-law Stewart Gross. She was also predeceased by her daughter Deborah Gimbel Gross, her son Peter J. Gimbel, and her brothers Abraham, Max and Samuel Savell.
