CASE

Dr. Lewis I. Case, 101, of Newton Upper Falls, Mass., formerly of Wethersfield, Westbrook and Boca Raton, Fla., died Feb. 18. He was the widower of Beatrice (Sobol) Case. Born and raised in Hartford, he was the son of the late Max and Minnie (Milkowitz) Case. He served in the United States Army Veterinary Corps in the China, Burma, India theater, and achieved the rank of Captain. He was a founding member of Beth El Temple in West Hartford. He is survived by his sons, Max S. Case and his wife Nancy of Milford, and Edmund C. Case and his wife Wendy of Newtonville, Mass.; his grandchildren, Emily Case and her husband Brett Bentson, Adam Case and his wife Alicia, Scott Case and his wife Annemarie Vaeni, and Alexander Case; and his great-grandchildren, Jonah Bentson, Oren Bentson, Elsa Case, Benjamin Case and Samuel Vaeni-Case. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Bela Webb, Sadie Sharp and Gertrude Libman Sandler, and his brother Isadore Case.
