Joseph F. Nitkin, 92, of Cheshire, died Dec. 26. He was the husband of Ruth (Clark) Nitkin. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Phillip and Esther (Lerner) Nitkin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Howard Nitkin and his wife Joyce of Cheshire, Ronda Martin of East Haven, and Lori Silkoff and her husband Richard of Cheshire; his grandchildren, Jaymie Clark (Scott), Bailey Orell (Jonathan), Erica Pinkus (Jason), Zachary Martin (Pam), Mara James (Chris), and Jesse Silkoff; and his great-grandchildren, Emma Nitkin-Ressler, Sydney and Molly Pinkus, Peyton Clark, and Oliver Orell. He was also predeceased by his brother, Bernard Nitkin, and his sister, Hilda Krug.
