WEDDING – BARON-BARAM

Matthew Baram and Alayna Baron were married on Jan. 21 at Midbar Kodesh Temple in Henderson, Nevada. Rabbi Jason Fruithandler of Sinai Temple Los Angeles and Rabbi Bradley Tecktiel of Midbar Kodesh Temple officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Howard and Bonni Baron of Henderson, Nevada. Her father is a pediatric gastroenterologist and past president of Midbar Kodesh Temple. Her mother is a sales representative for Hospitality Trading Corp, and is active in her synagogue and several local Jewish organizations. The bride is a first grade teacher at the Pressman Academy of Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles. Previously, she taught in the Nevada public school system.

The groom is the son of Judge David and Paula Baram of Bloomfield. His father practices law in Bloomfield and is the judge of probate for the Tobacco Valley Probate Court. He is a former state representative of Bloomfield/Windsor and former mayor of Bloomfield. His mother is a teacher at the Beatrice Fox Auerbach Fox Early Childhood Center of the Mandell Jewish Community Center in West Hartford and a former Hebrew school teacher at Beth Hillel Synagogue in Bloomfield.

The groom is a graduate of the Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford, Kingswood-Oxford, and Boston University. He received his Master’s degree from the American Jewish University in California in Jewish Studies. He serves as the millennial director at Sinai Temple.

The couple resides in Los Angeles, California.
