“Maccabeats” in concert in Danbury and Chester

The Maccabeats, one of the world’s premiere a cappella singing groups who have appeared on stage in five continents, will appear in concert in Connecticut twice this spring.

The New York-based group will appear as part of the Music and More Series, hosted by Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek in Chester, on Sunday, March 11 at 4 p.m. The concert will be followed by a reception attended by the group; Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek is located at 55 E. Kings Hwy. For ticket information: (860) 326-8920, office@cbsrz.org.

On Sunday, April 8, the group will help celebrate the State of Israel’s 70th birthday at a concert hosted by the United Jewish Center of Danbury. It’s an encore performance for the popular group, who sang its repertoire of American, Jewish and Israeli songs before a sold-out crowd at the Center in November 2016. The concert begins at 3 p.m. and is preceded by a VIP reception at 2 p.m., which will include a meet-and-greet, as well as the opportunity to take photos with group members.

The United Jewish Center is located at 141 Deer Hill Ave. For ticket information: (203) 748-3355, office@unitedjewishcenter.org.
