Melvin H. Winick, 92, of West Hartford, died March 10. He was the husband of Karen Levenson Winick. Raised in Hartford, he was the son of Samuel Winick and Augusta Lassow Winick. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, as a navigator on combat missions in the Pacific Theater. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his chidlren, Kimberly Winick of Los Angeles, Barry Winick of Santa Barbara, and Ariane Lengyel of London; his grandchildren, Alana Vani, Mira, Charlotte and Nicolas; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Bud Winick, and his sister Helene Cremer.
