Elaine Kanter Hanenbaum, 88, of West Hartford and South Palm Beach, Fla., died July 1. Born in Hartford and raised in Farmington, the daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Goldberg) Kanter of Farmington. She is survived by her children, Marcy Wien and her husband Thomas of Newport Beach, Calif., and Barry Hanenbaum and his wife Helaine of West Hartford; her sister-in-law Jan Kanter of West Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Rosalie Kanter and her brother Sherman.
