Arnie Smolen, 90, died Jan. 12. He is survived by his wife Riva Smolen of New Haven. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Anna and Irving Smolen.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Paul of Old Saybrook, Steven of Hector, NY, and Dan and his wife Marsha of Manassas, VA; and his grandchildren, Dana, Riki, Zak and Daryn.
