West Hartford woman appointed to staff of Make-A-Wish Connecticut

TRUMBULL – Carin Buckman of West Hartford has been appointed the new marketing, communications and digital manager of Make-A-Wish Connecticut (MAWCT).

A graduate of the Wharton School of Business, Buckman has more than 30 years’ experience in marketing, communications and public relations, both locally and internationally. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, she has extensive nonprofit experience and a cross-cultural track record working with diverse populations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carin Buckman to our team,” said Make-A-Wish Connecticut President and CEO Pam Keough in announcing Buckman’s appointment.

“She is an experienced marketing communications executive, a proven cross-functional collaborator and creative storyteller who fervently believes in our organization’s mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. She will be a key asset in helping us increase our digital footprint and raise awareness and reach in the CT Latino market,” Keough added.

According to Buckman, “My sweet spot is in helping organizations grow and prosper while elevating and remaining true to their brands. I am excited to help MAWCT elevate awareness and visibility among wish kids, families, volunteers, supporters, donors and corporate partners to meet our goal of granting more than 250 wishes annually.”
