Information Meeting for March of the Living for Connecticut adults

Voices of Hope and the Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford have announced plans to lead a March of the Living trip for adults from all across Connecticut to take place in April 2020.

An informational meeting to discuss the upcoming trip will be held Wednesday, July 17, 7 p.m. in Fairfield (address provided with reservations).

The International March of the Living is an annual educational program, bringing individuals from around the world to Poland and Israel to learn the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hatred. Since its inception in 1988, more than 260,000 people from 52 countries have marched down the same 3-kilometer path leading from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Holocaust Remembrance Day – Yom Hashoah. Participants then travel to Israel to celebrate Israel Independence Day.

Voices of Hope is an organization created by descendants of Holocaust Survivors to collect, categorize and share the experiences of Holocaust survivors for the benefit of future generations.
