JCL welcomes new director of community relations

WEST HARTFORD – Sarah Winiarski has been appointed director of community relations of the Jewish Association for Community Living (JCL), it was announced recently by Denis Geary, the organization’s executive director.

In her new role, Winiarski will oversee the growth of JCL’s fundraising and development efforts, and will increase its outreach in the community. 

“I am excited to be part of the JCL family. My hope is that my knowledge and experience will be beneficial to the organization to help the people we serve,” said Winiarski.

A resident of West Hartford, Winiarsky eaerned  a master’s in strategic fundraising and philanthropy from BayPath University. Sarah comes to JCL with nearly nine years of experience in fundraising and development.

The mission of the Jewish Association for Community Living is to help adults with developmental disabilities participate in community life as independently and safely as possible. While JCL serves adults of all faiths and backgrounds, the organization helps adults with special needs practice and reinforce their Jewish heritage. JCL manages group homes, and supports living homes and day programs in West Hartford.
