Lee Gold enters the race for West Hartford Town Council

WEST HARTFORD — Lee Gold has announced his candidacy for a seat on West Hartford’s Town Council. Gold, who is running as a Republican, grew up in Wethersfield and has been a resident of West Hartford for more than 20 years.

“There are many issues facing the Town of West Hartford,” he said in a statement announcing his candidacy. “We have increasing property taxes and lack of vision in addressing the Town’s infrastructure. There is pressure from surrounding municipalities, as well as a budget that has continuously risen with no end in sight. We will have tough decisions to make to get our town on track for the next decade and beyond.”

An attorney and principal at the law firm of Butler, Norris & Gold, Gold serves on the Kingswood-Oxford Advisory Council, and is a past board member of Tumble Brook Country Club and The Emmanuel Synagogue. He has also served as a sponsor and coach for West Hartford Little League for more than seven years.
