Sonia Kase Berke, 86, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., formerly of West Hartford, died August 6. She was the wife of David A. Berke. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Irene Kase. She was a former member of Beth El Temple in West Hartford, and a current member of Temple Beth David in Palm Beach Gardens. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Allan K. Grande and his wife Cynthia Moran, Sara G. Gavens and her husband Andrew, and Ian R. Grande and his husband Richard Goldberg; her granddaughters, Melissa L. Gavens, Jennifer L. Gavens and Molly A. Gavens; her former husband Paul Grande; her step-children, Michelle Hatch and her husband Gary Garnet, and Heidi Berke-Halperin and her husband Jeff, and their families; her step-granddaughters, Rebecca Martelon and her husband Timothy, Joshua Hatch, Benjamin Berke-Halperin; and step-great-granddaughter Grace Martelon; her sister Sherry Kase Levy and her husband Alex; and her brother Harvey Kase and his wife Arlene. She was also pre-deceased by her brother Lawrence Kase.
