Scenes from a young girl's diary Holocaust survivor and Westport sculptor Steffi Friedman brought the story of Anne Frank to her students at Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County. After reading "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl," the group built a scale model of the secret annex where Anne and the other refugees hid. Each student chose a scene from the book to create as a sculpture. The house will be on display at the Westport Country Playhouse [25 Powers Court, Westport] through October. Neighborhood Studios Night is Tuesday, Oct. 5, when students will discuss their work in a post-performance panel discussion and the Neighborhood Studio Jazz Ensemble will perform before the show. Pictured here is sculptor Steffi Friedman at the installation of the sculpture at Neighborhood Studios.
