Irene Magun Goldberg

Irene Magun Goldberg died after a brief illness on Jan. 2, 2011, with her family at her side.  She was a businesswoman and generous contributor to several philanthropies and most especially a lifelong leader of Women’s American ORT. A 1983 graduate of St. Joseph College in West Hartford, she used her love of art as a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford and the Hillstead Museum in Farmington. Predeceased by her first husband, Harry L. Magun, and her second husband, Bernard A. Goldberg, she leaves a son, Bruce E. Magun and his wife, Louise; a daughter, Carol Magun Feingold and her husband, Mordechai Feingold; a stepdaughter Judy Singer and her husband Irwin; and a stepson, Robert Goldberg; seven loving grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her sister Eleanor Brooks.
