HARTFORD – Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford (JFS) has been awarded a $7,500 grant from The RBC Foundation-USA, it was announced by Aaron Scott, branch director of RBC’s Hartford office. The grant will be used to fund the Jewish Employment Transition Services program (JETS), a collaborative effort of Jewish Family Services, the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, and many volunteer professionals.
JETS was formed early in the fall of 2008 to help those who had lost their jobs, couldn’t pay their mortgages, and in some cases, couldn’t feed their families.  To date, JETS has provided services to more than 300 individuals.  Resume services, workshops, support groups, networking groups, and other programs that JETS provides are offered at no charge and are open to all members of the community, regardless of religious affiliation.
“RBC has given JFS a gift that will keep giving to so many in our community who are struggling to find jobs and keep their families secure through this turbulent financial time. We are extremely gratefully to them for recognizing JETS through the RBC foundation,” said Anne Danaher, executive Director of Jewish Family Services.
In the United States, RBC Wealth Management operates as a division of RBC Capital Markets Corporation.
