A taste of Jewish learning in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT – Back for the second straight year is “A Taste of Merkaz,” an evening of Jewish learning for adults in Eastern Fairfield County.  The event, scheduled to be held on Wednesday, March 23, 7 p.m. at Congregation B’nai Israel in Bridgeport, is intended to give community members an opportunity to sample the many diverse programs offered by Merkaz Community High School for Judaic Studies.  It will feature classes on a wide range of topics, taught by a host of local teachers and clergy, capped off by a dessert reception.
Merkaz Community High School for Judaic Studies provides more than 200 Jewish teens from throughout Eastern Fairfield County with a comfortable, social atmosphere within which they can explore and strengthen their ties to Judaism.
