Al Simon to head Hoffman Auto’s marketing/communications

EAST HARTFORD – Al Simon has been appointed director of marketing and communications for the Hoffman Auto Group, it was announced recently by a company spokesman. In his new post, Simon will oversee Hoffman’s public relations and marketing departments, as well as the business development center.
Simon began his career as a customer relation’s specialist with American Honda Motor Company.  He joined Hoffman in 2000 as customer service manager.  Not long after, he was promoted to the position of Internet sales and business development manager, where he recreated the online sales process of the motor group.  Simon is credited with guiding the transformation of Hoffman’s online presence and with playing a major role in the company’s growth over the past year.
In overseeing Hoffman’s marketing, public relations and Internet business development center, Simon will effectively integrate the company’s internal and external communications efforts.  By restructuring marketing messages and utilizing all modern channels of communication, he expects to grow the business by streamlining their marketing processes.
“We are excited and know Al will take our business to the next level,” said I. Bradley Hoffman, co-chairman of Hoffman Auto Group.  “By uniting our marketing and Internet departments, we will be able to present a unified message to our consumer.”
