Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join a delegation of rabbis to light the first candle of Chanukah at the State Capitol on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 1:00 p.m. The rabbis, representing the 22 Chabad Jewish Centers throughout the state, will share thoughts and inspirations relating to the holiday and make a special presentation to the governor. “We live in a blessed country that upholds the values of religious freedom,” said Rabbi Yosef Wolvovsky, executive director of the Benet Rothstein Chabad Jewish Center in Glastonbury. “We consider it an honor to mark the beginning of Chanukah with Governor Malloy, representing all the people of our great state.” For more information, please call (860) 659-2422 or email Rabbi@ChabadER.com.
