[This is not your mother’s] Matzah Ball in Stamford

Young Jews looking for something fun to do on the evening of Dec. 24, while the non-Jewish world is otherwise occupied can let their hair down at the” Matzah Ball” – a statewide party that, according to its organizers, is simply “a great night to put Jewish people in the same room to have fun, drink, dance and meet other Jews from the area.”
The fun starts at 8 p.m. and runs until 2 a.m. at 84 Park, located at 84 West Park Place in Stamford.
“Our event isn’t really tagged as single or not-single, but just an event for the Jewish community to get together to meet other Jews…for networking, dating or just to have a drink and hang out,” says Ari Gorfain of West Haven, who organized the event with Jeff Levinson of New Haven and Ari Sam Disraelly of Norwalk. According to Gorfain, the group’s first two Dec. 24 Matzah Balls, both held in New Haven, were so successful that they decided to host a third annual party, this time in Stamford.
The Matzah Ball offers a free open bar between 8 – 10 p.m. for those who pre-register.  To pre-register visit http://matzahball.jmix.org. There is a $25 all-you-can-drink charge after 10 p.m.
