Café Europa: New group for Holocaust survivors

WEST HARTFORD – Café Europa, a new group designed to provide Holocaust survivors from the greater Hartford area with social and educational programs will host its first event on Wednesday, Sept. 12, noon to 2 p.m. at the Mandell Jewish Community Center (JCC).
The program will feature a special performance by Cantor Mark Perman of the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation-Emek Shalom, singing Jewish and Yiddish songs.  It will include a kosher lunch.  Spouses are welcome to attend. The suggested contribution for the Sept. 12 event is $2.
Coordinated by the JCC, Café Europa is partially funded through the Conference on Material Claims Against Germany.
