NEW CANAAN – The New Canaan Jewish Group needs volunteers to help deliver Meals on Wheels to the homebound on the fourth Friday of every month.
The group covers several different routes and has a minimum of two volunteers delivering meals on each route.  Volunteers meet at Waveny Care Center at 10:30 a.m. and complete deliveries around noon. Children are welcome – in fact, they’re encouraged to attend since they brighten the faces of the clients ,especially the elderly.
Upcoming dates for which volunteers are needed are Oct. 26, Nov. 23 and Dec. 28 (Nov. 23 and Dec. 28 are during school breaks). The group welcomes your help, whether you can volunteer just once or multiple times.
