Helping the victims of Hurricane Sandy

As the scope of the devastation inflicted by Hurricane Sandy on those living in parts of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania became clear, several Jewish organizations jumped into action to lend a helping hand to those suffering and to help them recover and rebuild. Here are just some the Jewish organizations who have set up relief funds and are accepting donations:

The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) — contribute through your local Federation’s Hurricane Relief Fund or directly to the JFNA Hurricane Relief Fund at http://jfeds.org/SandyRelief; or text RELIEF to 51818 on a mobile device to pledge a donation; or send checks to your local Federation or to JFNA at Wall Street Station, PO Box 148, New York, N.Y. 10268.
