President Obama was pleased that Abie Russ-Fishbane took the time to share his thoughts. And so, the nation’s top leader took the time to tell him so by responding personally to the letter he received from the young man – a second grader at the Bess & Paul Sigel Hebrew Academy in Bloomfield. It all came as a big surprise to Abie who plans on framing the letter – and following other advice the President offered: He encouraged Abie and other students to aim for excellence, and always try to improve the lives of people in the community, for our students are America’s future.
