As they have every year for the past 10 years, the Jewish Federation and the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford hosted an event in southern Florida to give “snowbirds” from the Hartford area a chance to reconnect with old friends and tap into all the news from the Hartford Jewish community. This year, the get-together included two events: the first, an intimate evening of good friends and good conversation held on Jan. 29 at the home of Arnie and Ruth Zackin in Longboat Key; the second, a talk by Jewish humorist Stephen Cohen held on Jan. 30 at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton that brought together 75 Federation and Foundation donors.
Recognition events are held each winter on the east and west coasts of Florida for Federation and Foundation donors who live in Florida full or part time and have roots in Hartford. For more information about Hartford in Florida events call the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford at (860) 727-6100.
