The Greater Hartford Synagogue Softball League championship wrapped up on August 18 with a slugfest pitting the defending champions, Beth Shalom/B’nai Israel (BS/BI) of Manchester, against the league’s top seed Mazel Tov, comprised of Solomon Schechter alumni. BS/BI defeated Mazel Tov 18-14 in a thrilling come from behind win – their third straight league championship. This concludes the 20th season for the league, which is comprised of six Hartford area synagogue and day school teams.
