GELB

Albert Jerome Gelb, 91, of Atlanta, formerly of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died Dec. 21. He was the widower of Adline Levy Gelb. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Florence (Stamler) Gelb Cramer Kupersmith and Morris Gelb. He enlisted in the Coast Guard after Pearl Harbor, serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Escatawpa. He is survived by his brothers, Walter Gelb and his wife Sara of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Dr. Elliot Cramer of Chapel Hill, N.C.; his daughters, Cheryl Eppsteiner and her husband David of Marietta, Ga., Debbie Katz and her husband Ari of Cupertino, Calif., and Nanci Gelb and her husband Stuart Snyder of Derwood, Md.; his grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Harris, Rosalind, Emily, Matthew and Elyse and their families; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, Zelda Ungar, Sylvia Zehala, Israel Cramer and Edward Cramer.
