Remembering the Martyred Six Million

scott slifkaWest Hartford Mayor Scott Slifka was among the many volunteers who read the names of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust at a special commemoration marking Yom HaShoah, held at the Mandell JCC on Monday, April 28. Provided by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the names of the martyred victims were read non-stop. Each volunteer also lit a yahrzeit candle in remembrance of those who perished.
