GREENWICH – Lisa-Loraine Smith was honored for her 10 years of service as executive director of the Jewish Family Service of Greenwich (JFS) at the agency’s Board meeting in June. Smith was presented with an engraved silver platter commemorating her milestone.

A licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), Smith was recognized for her guidance in launching several initiatives, including JFS’ Jewish Health and Healing Center; Bikkur Cholim Project; Consultation and Referral Network; and the Support Group Center, including the innovative and pioneering Online Support Group Project, which this year piloted online support groups for caregivers and for those chronically ill.

Under Smith’s guidance, JFS has also facilitated a long list of support groups aimed at various populations, including groups for the divorced, bereaved, empty nesters, and more, as well as a host of programs.
