Volunteers brighten the holidays for others

Volunteers from Beth El Temple in West Hartford helped make the holidays brighter for the staff members of several non-profits in the Greater Hartford area by taking over their tasks on Dec. 25, so that the workers could spend the day with their families. Volunteers prepared and served dinner, provided musical entertainment, participated in activities, and simply socialized with residents and clients at River Ridge in Avon, South Church in New Britain, SummerWood in West Hartford, Hebrew Health Care in West Hartford, Peter’s Retreat in Hartford, and South Church in Hartford.

CAP: (l to r): Emily and Sadie Weiner and Sophie Kudler, all of West Hartford, serve snacks to residents of Summerwood.
