A Championship Season

The Greater Hartford Synagogue League concluded its 22nd season on Sunday, August 16, with a championship game pitting the undefeated defending league champions, Mazel Tov – a team comprised of alumni from Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford – against former champions B’nai Tikvoh-Shalom/Temple Sinai. In a hard-fought, well played game, Mazel Tov prevailed, winning the Commissioner’s trophy with a score of 16 to 9. The league currently consists of six co-ed teams comprising 11 synagogues and local Jewish organizations. The league is always on the lookout for new area synagogue teams to fill the league ranks either as independent teams or as joint members of existing teams. For more info contact Alan Cetel at acjctc@aol.com.
