Greenwich Teens help the Homeless

As the sun rose on Oct. 4, a group of 16 young people from the JCC Greenwich Teen Action Committee headed to New York City where, joining forces with Midnight Run, a volunteer organization dedicated to finding common ground between the homeless and those more fortunate, they served breakfast to more than 50 homeless men and women. The kids – ranging in age from 11 to 16 – also distributed sweatshirts, socks, underwear, and toiletries to those in need. The Teen Action Committee meets monthly during the school year to help plan and organize community service projects for middle and high school students in Greenwich.
