Elinor Durica, age 91 of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at Hebrew Healthcare Hospital in West Hartford. Mrs. Durica was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Ginsberg. Elinor was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, as well as a founding member of Pioneer Women, and an avid knitter, gardener, cook, and storyteller. Mrs. Durica was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Durica. She is survived by her devoted children, Jon Durica and his wife Wendy of Pound Ridge, N.Y., David Durica and his wife Sherri of Norman, Ok., and Meryl Berger and her husband Michael of Glastonbury, by her adored grandchildren, Shana, Aliza, Joshua, Sarah, Shira, and Noah, and by her cherished great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Lucas, and Jake.
