Alumni, parents (present and past), faculty and staff, local dignitaries, Jewish community leaders and family and friends were all on hand Saturday evening, March 12 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ezra Academy in Woodbridge. The more than 350 guests in attendance also paid tribute to this year’s gala honorees, Alan and Elizabeth Reznik and Eleanore Reznik. The evening raised more than $150,000 to support scholarships and help fund the school’s new Judaics curriculum and technology program. The gala also raised the curtain on the school’s newly created Alumni Network Association and the Ezra Academy Hall of Fame, whose first inductee is Rafi Prober (‘92). A successful attorney, Proder worked for several years on a pro bono case that successfully sought reparations for Holocaust survivors who were transported to death camps during World War II on the French railroad.
