SOUTHBURY – The next two meetings of a monthly support group for friends and family of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 13 and Nov. 10, 10:30 a.m., at the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut, 444 Main Street North. The free support group is intended to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers, helping them to develop methods and skills to care for the person with dementia, and maintain their own personal, physical and emotional health. The group is facilitated by Patty Gibbs, a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association. Registration is not required.
