Ruth Blumenthal, 97, of Ansonia, died May 2. She was the widow of B. Sidney Blumenthal. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Gerstein Kegeles. She was also predeceased by her brother Irving Kegeles and her daughter Barbara Faye Blumenthal. She is survived by her children, Susan Ronna Blumenthal and her husband David Penney, and Mark Blumenthal and his wife Irene; her son-in-law Josiah Wilcox; her grandchildren, Mallory Penney, Carl Penney, Brianne Blumenthal and her husband Joseph Vizcarrondo, Seth Blumenthal and his wife Laura, Lisette Swails and her husband Mark and Joshua Wilcox and his wife Hannah Fierman; and her great-grandson Samuel Aaron Blumenthal.
