Nan Elaine Lewis Glass, 88, of Hartford, and Durham, N.C., formerly of West Hartford, died August 10. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mass and Robert R. Lewis. She was the former mayor of West Hartford (1995-97). She is survived by her children, Alan L. Glass of West Hartford, Amy S. Glass and Peter P. Geoffrion of Durham, N.C., and Mitchell J. Glass and Linda Shi of Ithaca, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Robert Glass, Jessica and Emily Glass, Allana and Rachel Geoffrion, and Cooper and Zoe Glass; her sister Frances Baer of Titusville, Fla.; her sister-in-law Janice Glass of Avon; her brother-in-law Richard Levy of Phoenix, Ariz.; her daughter-in-law Nancy B. Glass; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins. She was also predeceased by her son David A. Glass, and her sister Marsha Lewis Levy.
