Emily Juliana Janice and Mitchell Perry Friedman of Middletown were married Sept. 10 at Woodbridge Lake in Goshen. Rabbi Shlomo Hecht, director of Chabad at UConn, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Joseph Janice of Goshen and Dr. Joan Tekula of Litchfield. The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Susan Friedman of Berlin.

The bride, a registered nurse, graduated with a bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut and is currently a student in the Yale University School of Nursing post-graduate program.

The groom is a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.  He received a bachelor of science in Nursing from UConn.

The couple met when they were students in the UConn School of Nursing.

The couple resides in Middletown.
