SHEMONSKY

Herman Shemonsky, 89, formerly of Simsbury and Old Saybrook, died Nov. 17. He was the widower of Muriel P. Shemonsky. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as an MP. He was a founding member of the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation in Simsbury. He is survived by his son and son-in-law, Peter Shemonsky and Clement Mok of San Francisco, Calif.; his nephews, Barry Vine of Woodbridge and Bobby Shea of Windsor Locks; his nieces, Sue Cervasio and Grace Zeloznot of Pennsylvania; several cousins; and his friend Deborah Caswell of Berlin.
