The spirit of giving dresses up the Dreidel Ball

On Sunday, Dec. 3, UJA-JCC Greenwich hosted the agency’s annual “Dreidel Ball” at Carmel Academy in Greenwich. Families dressed up in their Chanukah finest and enjoyed entertainment and games provided by Adam Craig Music, cookie decorating and crafts led by the Teen Action Committee, and noshed on latkes and sufganiyot . The event also included a clothing drive to benefit the MetCouncil on Jewish Poverty’s Children’s Clothing Closet. “The Dreidel Ball is unique this year because it’s about giving back,” said event co-chair Rebecca Cooper. “As much as it’s important to celebrate, it’s also important to recognize those children who aren’t as fortunate. That was the motivation behind encouraging the kids to not only dress up but to be aware of those children who don’t have the same luxury.”

CAP: Kids at the Greenwich “Dreidel Ball” volunteered to light the menorah led by UJA-JCC Greenwich assistant director, Leah Schechter.
