New course examines 6 intriguing questions about life and living

“What Is…?’ Rethinking Everything We Know about Our Universe” is the subject of a new six-session course that will be presented by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) at Chabad of Greater Hartford, 2352 Albany Ave., West Hartford, beginning Tuesday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Drawing on the wisdom of Jewish mysticism, the course reexamines the most basic building blocks of existence from the bottom up to give us a deeper of life, reality and our place in the world.

“What Is?” explores six of the most intriguing questions that have ever challenged mankind: Is the world real? Is time travel possible? Why does evil exist? Who is God? What is consciousness? Are we bound by fate?

The course is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge.
