A Woman of Outstanding Accomplishment

Ruth Sloate, a resident of SummerWood, a senior living community in West Hartford, is the recipient of the Outstanding Resident Accomplishment Award from the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA). Sloate was nominated for the award by SummerWood staff, who cited her enthusiasm, her willingness to volunteer to help with a variety of projects, and the aid she often offers new residents settling into the community. With her family in attendance, Sloate received her award at a celebratory luncheon held on April 5 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville.
