David Brown, 88, formerly of Meriden, died Feb. 26. He was the widower of the late Barbara (Zempsky) Brown. Born in Waterbury, he was the son of the late Aaron and Doris Brown. He served in the U.S. Army and as a sergeant during the Korean War where he received four service medals and a ribbon. His honorable discharge was granted in 1954. He is survived by his sister Roberta Gleit; his daughters, Belinda LaVoie and Sharon Farmer; and his grandchildren, Melanie and Wyatt LaVoie.
