AIPAC’s President-elect Talks About Israel Advocacy with Stamford Teens

STAMFORD – Recently, the Israel Advocacy Club of Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy-Upper School hosted Betsy Berns Korn, president-elect of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), who spoke to students about her experience as an intern at AIPAC in 1989, when she first learned about the need to continually cultivate among America’s leaders a strong relationship with the state of Israel.

Following her remarks, Ms. Korn opened the floor to questions, allowing students to learn more about AIPAC and the part the organization plays in building this important relationship. Many Bi-Cultural Upper School students plan to visit Washington, D.C. this spring to take part in AIPAC’s annual policy conference. There, the teens will have the opportunity to witness Ms. Korn being installed as president of the pro-Israel organization, as well as to learn about Israel advocacy and to advocate for Israel in the halls of Congress.
